Hey there, I am Michelle from Mind of Meesh.
I started this blog a few years back when I tried to start a wedding event planning biz and quickly realized I was not passionate about going in that direction; However, I did discover that I was passionate about was the blogging portion. Given that my background is in Journalism, it seemed like a good fit and I have been blogging ever since. I love blogging, writing, creating, pinning, and anything celebrity related.
Mind of Meesh is about sharing stories, creative ideas, some venting sessions from time-to-time, and showing a glimpse into our everyday lives.
I am your typical 30 something working mom, stepmom, wife, and dog owner. I wear all these hats while trying to keep my head above water. I am trying to perfect my new gig as mom, but quickly learning that imperfection comes with the parenting territory. I thought I wanted to be the next Katie Couric and I quickly realized after graduating college that was not in my cards. Since college, I have coordinated large scaled festivals, family friendly events, social gatherings, fundraisers and small intimate parties. I found out that I was good at getting people together and keeping them entertained in the process. I am dipping my toes into crafting and have come up with a few projects: Baby Cupcake Onesies, Diaper Cake Basket and Anniversary Gift. Like I said, my friends are the real talented ones when it comes to crafting and sewing. Here are some of their amazing projects: Baby Shower Décor, Pumpkin Decorating, and Crafting with Cardboard Boxes.
Meet My Family
We are a blended family which includes my wonderful stepson S who is a preteen and our newest addition, Baby Reese, who was born in July! We live in Texas in a classic suburban area filled with soccer moms, strollers and the best 30K millionaires you can find in the area. We are all born and raised Texans and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meet the Hubs
My husband is the love of my life and is an IT Genius/Geek. If you got a computer problem, he can most likely fix it and that is one of the zillion reasons that I married him. Hello, IT support is expensive these days! ha ha He is the laid back, calm one in our family. We make a good team because I can be intense, not patient, and impulsive at times. It’s a good balance. He is also a handy man. Check out his DIY home projects: Fence Window for your Pets and Pegboard Gun Holder.
Our 2 year old Labradoodle always makes life interesting. He has killed over 5 dog beds, chewed up a grill, ate dryer sheets, mascara and still lives to bark about it. Whether he is tearing up something in our backyard or chowing down on his food in 2 seconds, we love him and all of his craziness! Read about all of his adventures and a few what was he thinking moments here and here.
I am not perfect, I am not an expert on many things but I have learned a few things along the way that I will share. I am open to learning from others and hearing feedback as long as its constructive and not bullying!
Blogging is about growing and connecting with others that you might have never been able to.
When you stop growing and learning, you stop living and who wants to do that?
The best way to connect with me is by commenting on my blog posts. I try my very best to respond, but let’s be honest with a full time job and baby it can take me awhile, but I am obsessed with this blog so I will most likely respond ASAP. By commenting, you show you care, which motivates me to write more and write better.
