Paper Please! 1st Year Anniversary Gift
Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 | Posted under DIY Projects, Family
Thank goodness the first year theme is paper because you can get really creative and let’s face it – paper is more affordable than say the silver or gold years and in your first year of marriage that is all that matters when you are trying to manage your budget amongst all the grown up responsibilities. We had a great one year anniversary and I will be sharing many of the funny and whacky anniversary moments Chad and I experienced this weekend. Let’s just say that everytime I try to plan a perfect event/road trip/night out it never falls something goes whacky, but you will have to tune in tomorrow for that story.
I found the frame 50% off at Michael’s and bought the matte separately. I added three pictures: one in the early stages of our dates, one from our wedding, and one from the purchase of our new home with the stepson. Too bad I couldn’t photoshop Dax in the picture! I then printed out three maps from google maps with the categories: We Met, We Married, and We Lived. All three events that were great milestones. Check out the finished product below.
Please share your ideas on what you gave your husband on your first year. Thank goodness for Pinterest. What did people do before Pinterest?
Thanks for reading and Cheers!

So cute! Where did you purchase the matte for the frame?
21. October - 2:29 pmHi Megan,
Thanks! I purchased it at Michael’s in the framing aisle. I also used a 50% off coupon that you can get by signing up for their rewards coupon card or sometimes they will be in the newspaper.
